The music that stirs my soul, the be-bop of a generation, that infused art, painting, literature ,and life. Not one heart can hear this music, and not be touched. A global, tribal, cult sound "the roots".
From the sadness in the voice of Miss. BILLIE HOLIDAY, to the saxophone roaring of PARKER in a time when music was needed the most, THIS WAS IT. Not only JAZZ, but the, LOVE OF THE BLUES, that made everyone believe there could be happiness in the sadness of it all. A reflection of the time that lives on forever in the hearts of kings and paupers alike. No one can ever say this ain't music. look at the art derived from it.
THATS JAZZ!!!

I am not sure if you have but for some newer age/old time blues, Joe Bonamassa is a must hear, Walter Trout is good along the lines of Stevie Ray Vaughn
